...

Hey Ya'll
Lately,I have been studying on the reformation etc.for school...
I was reading Habakkuk 2:4 about how through faith in Christ Jesus, Our prideful sinful hearts can do no good, and without faith ( in him)  our works are useless

It is so neat to see how God has, little by little showing me things after reading that scripture...

Have your ever struggled with comparing yourself? Observing things that others are doing, sometimes bringing yourself down, because what you see on the outside...forgetting that it's whats on the inside that counts. Forgetting that it's through faith not works, that everyone of us are sinners, saved by the blood of Jesus Christ...no one is perfect, nor will they ever be perfect!
And all that we do (or should do) is for Christs glory, not our own. And if we focus on him, and trust him, then we will be soo much more joyful and content, knowing that the Lord is in control, and that all we do is for him! (and it doesn't matter what others think of us!) And all those things we thought we had to do so others would think better of Us...those things are our prideful sinful hearts thinking they could do good on their OWN! But in him all things are created new - and if we desire to honor him through our actions-then we will be noticed, not for our own pleasure, but his glory!
Just remember that our imperfections are reminders of how perfect Christ is! And it doesn't matter what others think of us-but of what Christ thinks of us!

As it is written there is none righteous, no not one for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:10, 23

That is something the Lord gave me to write..

Love to all my Sisters in Christ,

  1. Oh Alyssa... how you truly blessd me with those thoughts. So many times I am tempted to do things for vain reasons, so people would see me in my good works, yet never feeling content with myself. It is a beautiful reminder that all things must be done for Christ alone, and in Him only can we be content. That it is an aroma to Him when we seek to serve Him for His glory, with joyful hearts knowing that His love will never change.

May the Lord bless you dear friend!
    In Christ,
    ~Shannon~
